Exciting news is on the way for our students in Annecy.
From Monday 22 June, IFALPES will welcome students to its new school at 3 rue de Rumilly, right in the city centre, just 5 minutes on foot from our previous address at 14 avenue du Rhône and only a short walk from the train station.
This move is much more than a simple change of address. It marks a new chapter for IFALPES Annecy and reflects our desire to offer students a learning environment that feels more modern, more comfortable and even better adapted to student life today.
A brighter, more modern and better organised school
The new premises have been carefully redesigned to create a more pleasant everyday experience for both students and staff. The layout has been rethought, the spaces have been modernised and the school has been equipped with new furniture to create a fresher, more welcoming atmosphere.
The school is spread over two levels and includes 7 classrooms, including a computer room. Some classrooms open to the outside while others are more enclosed, but overall the new school feels clearer, brighter and more modern than before.
As soon as students arrive, they will discover a welcoming reception area with a street-facing front window, giving the school a more open and visible presence in the neighbourhood.
A central location, still in the heart of Annecy
One of the great advantages of this move is that IFALPES remains in the very centre of Annecy.
The new school is located in a lively and practical area, right next to the train station, making daily life easier for students while keeping them close to shops, restaurants and everything the city centre has to offer.
Being so close to the previous school also means continuity. Students will still enjoy all the benefits of this central location, now in a renewed and more comfortable setting.
Spaces designed for student life and for the team
The new school has been designed with everyday life in mind.
Students will be able to enjoy a coffee corner and reception area with tables, a pleasant place to meet before or after class. The school also includes a teachers’ room, a staff kitchen area, and an outdoor space.
On the lower level, the school also features a projection room, which can be used for screenings and for certain classes and group activities. These new spaces will help create an even more dynamic and enjoyable school atmosphere.
The first level is accessible to students with reduced mobility, allowing IFALPES to welcome students in comfortable conditions.
A stronger role as an exam centre
This move is also an important step in the development of IFALPES Annecy as an exam centre.
Thanks to a computer room with more than twenty workstations, the school will strengthen its position as a regional exam centre. In addition to DELF/DALF, IFALPES will also be able to organise TCF sessions and civic exam sessions.
For students, this means an even more complete experience: learning French, preparing for official certification and taking exams in a structured, modern environment directly within the school.
A new chapter full of promise
With this move, IFALPES Annecy is opening a beautiful new chapter. The school remains true to what students already love about Annecy: a central location, a friendly atmosphere and a high-quality learning experience. At the same time, it now offers a more modern setting, better organised spaces and new possibilities for student life and official exams.
We cannot wait to welcome our current and future students there and to let them discover this new environment for themselves.
